Black Bean Salsa
Makes 4 Cups-Dairy Free
Serve this salsa as a side dish or topping for grain and or vegetables.

2 cups cooked rinsed and drained black turtle beans
1/4 cup diced red onion
1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
1 cup diced tomato
1 large clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
3 Tbs. fresh lime juice
1 Tbs. chopped chile pepper or to taste
Ocean Grains Sea Salt to taste

In serving bowl, combine all ingredients. Cover and let stand at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to develop. If prepared more than a few hours ahead, chill andd return to room temperature before serving.

Per 1/2 cup serving: 67 cal., 4g protein, 0 total fat, 0 sat. fat, 13g carb., 0 chol., 3mg sodium, 4g fiber


Organic Pancakes


1 organic egg
1 cup Golden Grains Unbleached Flour
3/4 cup whole milk
1 Tbs. Cane Grains Natural Sugar
2 Tbs. Canola Oil
3 tsps. Baking Powder (Aluminum Free)
1/2 tsp Ocean Grains Sea Salt

Beat egg and add remaining ingredients until smooth. For thinner pancakes stir in an additional 1/4 cup whole milk.
YIELDS: Nine 4 inch pancakes
*This recipe doubles easily!

 


Organic Cinnamon Rolls

3 cups Golden Grains Unbleached Flour
1/4 cup Golden Granins Whole Wheat Flour or Your Daily Bread Mix
3/8 cup Cane Grains Natural Sugar
1/4 cup non-fat dry milk
1 1/2 tsp. Ocean Grains Sea Salt
1/2 cup unsalted real butter
9 fl ounces distilled water with one organic egg. (put egg in measuring cup, then add water to equal 9 fl ounces)
2 tsp. active dry yeast

Put ingredients in the order required by your bread machine. Put on the dough cycle.
Filling:
unsalted real butter
3-4 Tbs organic cinnamon
5-6 Tbs Cane Grains Natural Sugar
When the dough is finished, place it in a greased (olive oil) bowl. Roll ball of dough around so it is covered with the oil. Cover and let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Roll out dough on lightly floured (Golden Grains Unbleached Flour) surface, (12 x 16), inch rectangle. Spread butter, then sprinkle with filling. Roll up tightly into a log starting at one short edge. Cut log into 12 equal portions using dental floss. Place on a butter greased glass pan.

Let it rise for 20 to 30 minutes. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 10-15 minutes, or golden brown. Sprinkle any remaining filling on top.
